This is an exciting opportunity to join the IT team in a fast growing engineering and manufacturing company based in the North West. The company designs and manufactures a range of commercial transport products supplying major fleet operators and commercial vehicle manufacturers. The IT team designs, develops and supports a range of bespoke IT solutions spanning manufacturing planning and execution, stock control, supplier management as well as sales, customer and quotation systems. As the company is developing, the bespoke application programming requirements are increasing and the company is now looking for a full time software programmer to join the IT team.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE – SOFTWARE PROGRAMMER
The company is currently in the process of migrating older ASP and VBA applications to the .NET platform, mainly using C#. Knowledge of .NET is therefore essential, with ASP and VBA being useful, however good programming skills in other similar languages would be sufficient.
The majority of the software written is web based, so knowledge of programming for the web is essential, in particular ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript and CSS – jQuery would be helpful.
Salary is up to £21000 basic per annum.
